An interview with Allan Laville covering (amongst other issues):
- the meaning of “sexual diversity” and also how it might present itself with a client
- Why it’s important for practitioners to understand clients’ sexual diversity
- Should a PWP directly raise the issue of sexual diversity or wait for the client?
- What would you say the four most common mistakes that practitioners make regarding a client’s sexuality?
- How should these mistakes be avoided?
- Should a client’s sexuality be addressed when there is no clear relationship between it and the referred or identified problem they present with?
- Regarding client exercises or guided self-help material, are there any obvious issues that strike you that practitioners should address?
