Our Story

SDS Training Company was established in 1990 to provide evidence-based, relevant and engaging training of the highest quality to health, social care, education and counselling professionals. We specialise in psychotherapy training, counselling training, and general psychological skills training as it applies to helping others, as well as to personal and managerial development. We have trained over 120,000 health professionals since our inception.

Our primary aim is to provide you with gold-standard training — informed, exciting and packed with practical ideas, skills and tips addressing your everyday work problems.

Live and video demonstrations of techniques: All our training events provide live or video demonstrations of skills and techniques. We strongly believe that observational learning is one of the most powerful and effective learning styles available.

What Our Students Have to Say

Would you mind passing on my compliments to Paul Grantham for the Socratic Questioning zoom course last week. I thought it really was first rate, practical as ever and the ebb & flow between Paul's presentations and the zoom room pair ups flowed perfectly. Very grateful to be able to access this all the way from Australia.

Thank you, Paul, for two exceptionally outstanding days. This is the first time that I have used Webcast and must say that I am very impressed. I feel better informed and more confident to use some of the techniques taught over the two days.

Fantastic approach from Fiona who encouraged everyone to share experiences and be involved in a comfortable and non-threatening way. Really enjoyed the course. Thank you Fiona.
I am safe in the knowledge that I have been going along the rights lines, but I now have additional tools in my kit to make supervision more interesting. Thank you, this has been very useful training, I shall now try to tactfully recommend this to my supervisor
